Rat Alert

Cats are running amok in Rat City. It's up to you to lead your verminous brethren to the safety of the sewers. Shout into your megaphone to lure rats out of their buildings and escort them to the manhole to score. The more rats you rescue at once, the more points you score. But be careful to mind the batteries on your megaphone, or you'll be caught without any defense against the cats yourself!

Use WASD or the Arrow Keys to move, and press Space to use the megaphone. Shout with the megaphone to discharge rats from colored buildings and scare off cats. Hold Space to charge the megaphone up to 3 levels. The more you charge the megaphone, the larger its blast radius and the more effective it is, but the more battery it costs to use.

PRO GAMER TIPS

• Charging your megaphone more will extract more rats. If you fully charge your shout, it'll evacuate all rats in its covered radius.
• There's no penalty for overcharging your battery. You can still use a level 3 shout with 1 battery pip left.
• Cats can't fit through 1-tile gaps. If you're being chased, run into a narrow alley to escape!
• You take a moment to turn around while moving at full speed. If you're running head-on towards a cat, try to turn left or right instead of doubling back.
• There are 4 cheese pickups in every level. Each one that you bring back to the manhole doubles your score for that chain.
• Collecting all 4 cheeses gives you a +10000 point Extra Cheezy bonus!

CAT PROFILES

Vladimir - A russian blue cat with a keen sense of instinct. When he arrives at a junction, he always knows which way to go. He's never told anyone he just picks randomly.

Microwave - An orangey that's not up to speed on the plan. Doesn't have the best memory and always ends up walking in circles. He thinks the cats on the TV are real.

Dr. Pisser - A sadistic snowball with a perfect sense of direction. He chases the player and always heads directly towards them. Insists that everyone uses his first name whenever possible.

Shodan - A nebulous feline that's always three steps ahead. Knows what you're up to and will always move to intercept. She's so sneaky that the other cats haven't realized she's almost never around.
